A unique sculpture of a seal in a metallic glaze

There’s something really rather pleasing about the shape of seals.

How they contort and stretch it’s wonder if there’s any bones in them. This one was inspired by my time watching the seals on the beach at Donna Nook.

Size: Approx. 24cm in height

Made from a high-firing robust stoneware clay, this seal sculpture is built to last.

  • Handcrafted stoneware ceramic seal, individually sculpted and glazed by me
  • Genuinely unique with its own personality and character

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the one in the photo the same as the one I'll get?

Yes. These are one of a kind sculptures.

Do you use moulds?

No, I start with a bag of solid clay and create a hollow form.

Are they fragile?

They're made from a high firing robust stoneware clay - it's important to me that they can be held and loved without worrying about damaging them.

Can they be left outside?

They can, but like any organic material they are susceptible to frost and freezing temperatures.
