Wildlife Art
Sometimes the wild allows us a glimpse into their world.
One of wonder and connection with another living being.
But it's always gone too soon.
Drawing allows me to hold onto that moment and see it in all its detail.
What the fur would feel like, how the feathers catch the light, but most importantly how they make us feel.
Sitting down with my trusty drawing tablet and stylus, I start their portrait with their eyes - I feel them watching me as I bring the rest of them to life.
Once I'm happy (and I feel that they would be too!) I down tools.
Working with a trusted specialist UK printer, each portrait becomes a limited edition print - hand-signed, numbered, and printed with the same care it was drawn with.
Do you use any AI in your art?
Absolutely not. My tools may be a digital pen and tablet but the paintsaking line by line drawing techniques are the same as any physical medium.
Can I buy the original?
Each print IS an original. Once the print run has concluded, there are no more.
I'd like to frame it, what size do I need?
Just a standard frame for a 12" x 12" artwork.
How are prints different to posters?
Prints are carefully created on a specialised printer individually here in the UK. They're colour and quality checked and printed with archival paper and inks.
Posters are mass-produced with cheap, often environmentally harmful materials often in factories abroad and will fade quickly.
Do you do different sizes?
In short, no. I want these prints to remain an exclusive short run, adding different sizes and substrates makes things messy.
I can look at new artwork comissions based on your specifications if you have something in mind.
Inspired by my own encounters with the wild.
When you give my work a home you're helping to look after wildlife.
