Little ceramic bat sculptures - nocturnal sky puppies - made to bring you joy! 

Standing on my driveway on a summer's evening, I'm treated to the spectacle of a couple of tiny bats whizzing in loops around the outside of the house and into the garden and back again. Curious about the strange creature standing around in the fading light I feel them come really close to check me out. It's such a special encounter. 

Designed to be held and loved, each ceramic bat starts as a lump of clay which I shape and form by hand.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the one in the photo the same as the one I'll get?

They're all very similar - but they wouldn't be handmade if they were identical.

So there'll be slight variations but that's what makes them unique and extra special - no two are the same!

Do you use moulds?

No, they're all sculpted individually.

I did try using moulds when I first started but I really didn't like how they felt.

Are they fragile?

They're made from a high firing robust stoneware clay - it's important to me that they can be held and loved without worrying about damaging them.

Can they be left outside?

I think this would make them sad, so no.
