WWT Slimbridge Art Exhibition

It’s July 2024 and I’m so excited to be in the art exhibition space at WWT Slimbridge in Gloucester!

It was a 4 hour drive down but within the first 5 minutes of parking up I’d managed to photograph a Sedge Warbler for the first time!

I knew I’d get lots of inspiration while I was there and I wasn’t disappointed. Funnily enough, the main character that’s stuck in my mind for sculpting is the Rook. Watching them up close as well as from afar I was really quite taken with their shapes, and I’ll look forward to sculpting them soon.

I also loved being so close to Avocets, which typically I’ve only ever caught glimpses of from far away. I just need to figure out how to make their legs!
